In the middle of the 16th century, the regions in the south of the Principat de Catalunya experienced the harsh repression of dozens of women accused of witchcraft. The instigator of this repression was Joan Malet, the first known witch hunter in the history of Catalunya. Sàpiens publishes an exclusive report in its September issue as the result of research carried out in different archives inside and outside of the country, which allow the life of this figure who terrorised Catalunya in the 16th century to be reconstructed.
